We had visited Dubai and Abu Dhabi for past holidays and only felt it fair that Oman was to be next on our list. We wanted a luxury break where we could spend our time simply relaxing and enjoying the Omani hospitality.
Nestled between the Al Hajar mountains and the Oman sea we looked forward to staying in the only remaining former Palace in Oman, originally built in 1985 to accommodate visiting heads of state at the GCC summit and more recently refurbished.

Things I Loved at the Al Bustan Palace
The infinity pool: Seemingly endless and surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens this is a pool like no other.
The beach: The 1km private sweeping beach stretches from the hotel to the end of the bay and is set against the dramatic Al Hajar mountains. It is furnished with comfortable loungers and day beds to give you plenty of places to relax.
The hotel interior: The huge lobby is opulent and luxurious as one would expect. Gold, marble and huge chandeliers bedeck the space, and you really are given a snapshot of life within the walls of a palace.
The restaurants: From the Orient to the Mediterranean, the restaurants were of the highest standards both in quality and presentation. Menu prices reflect this so be prepared when the bill is presented to you.
The gym: Well equipped and necessary after the rich food and days doing nothing.
The room: Comfortable and decorated in a classic Arabian style with a sea-view.
The staff: Customer satisfaction is taken very seriously by all staff members, and you can be sure that you will receive the highest levels of service.
