Nestled in the valley of Chamonix and surrounded by mountains, the most luxurious 5* Hotel Mont Blanc is the perfect place to stay during any season. Stunning mountain views and a heated outdoor pool with a separate hot tub make your stay here extremely relaxing.
I chose to visit Chamonix in the summer as a stop on my European Road Trip. Hotel Mont Blanc was the perfect place to stay for 2-nights to enjoy all of the activities this alpine resort offers.

Location
In Chamonix, in the French Alps, Hotel Mont Blanc is a walk away from the cafes, restaurants and high-end shops that start at Place Balmat and line the pedestrian street. The Aiguille du Midi cable car is close by and will whisk you to the top of the mountains.
Style
Opened in 1849, Hotel Mont Blanc fuses the traditional Alpine look of sky-blue window shutters, balconies, and white exterior with its interior’s classic contemporary chic. Think black and white tiles, chandeliers and contemporary artwork. Travellers have been staying here since the 19th century due to the allure of the hotel’s service, style and location.

Service
First-class standards are the norm at Hotel Mont Blanc. The hotel staff made us feel very special when they found out we were celebrating a special event. A luxurious Clarins spa offers massages alongside sauna and steam sessions, and a first-class restaurant serves tempting dishes. Touches like this make a good hotel into a great one.

Rooms
Every morning the stunning views of the mountains will start your day with a smile. Well equipped with comfortable beds, fluffy robes, slippers, and exclusive Clarins products. Small touches make the stay memorable, from daily weather forecasts to home-baked cookies.

Dining
Of course, le petit dejeuner is a treat first thing in the morning and sets you up for the day. At the same time, evening dining in Le Matafan restaurant is a fabulous event with seasonal dishes cooked to perfection and eaten in this luxurious restaurant’s opulent red velvet setting. The contemporary and alpine design has resulted in a stunning dining environment.

Outdoor Area
Hotel Mont Blanc has a beautiful outdoor area; a highlight for me was relaxing in the outdoor heated pool and hot tub. Watching the paragliders descend from the mountains directly behind the hotel was terrific, and I nearly booked a flight myself!
If you tire of the pool, the hotel’s grassy area has comfortable seating areas with waiter service. Hotel Mont-Blanc offers everything you could desire to stay in this excellent location in the French Alps.

I used to live 45 minutes from Chamonix and went there often in all seasons, but because I lived so close they were always day trips so I never had the pleasure os staying at this hotel, but my hubby and I have been talking about returning for a ski trip in the winter (it is so close to the Geneva airport) and I will definitely keep this hotel in mind!

How lovely to have lived in this area, it is so beautiful. I think a stay would be a lovely idea, I bet it is magical in the winter with a roaring fire in the lounge.
